Forget what you’ve heard, THE BAND PERRY is NOT switching over to pop.  TasteOfCountry.com asked KIMBERLY PERRY to set the record straight  . . . so she did.

Quote, “We never said we’re [going pop.]”

Seems the whole thing started when they signed with Interscope Records, which is known as a pop label.  But she insists they’re still a country band and will release their songs to country radio first.

Now, if a song DOES crossover to pop, good.  That’s what happened with “If I Die Young”, and they’d like that to continue.  Interscope can certainly support that, plus they’re the kind of label that can help the band with international touring.

There is one big crossover that I CAN confirm.  Kimberly is now a brunette.  The band did a 24-hour live stream yesterday on Facebook, and it’s filled with videos that show her new look.
