You can add TRAVIS TRITT to the list of people annoyed with MERYL STREEP’s “Golden Globes” rant.  He hit up Twitter after her speech and although he didn’t call her out by name, it’s obvious she lit the spark.

He started with this post:  “Advice to all actors, musicians, and entertainers:  Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric.”

That got people responding with their own pearls of wisdom.  When someone brought up free speech, he responded with:  “Anyone can say anything they want in our society.  That doesn’t mean we want to be lectured by out of touch celebrities.”

At one point he actually brought her name up, and was rather polite about it.  He wrote:  “I’m a huge Meryl Streep fan.  One of the best actors ever.  But I want to see her doing her craft.  Talking politics turns me off.”

This post also summed up his feelings about the whole thing.  Quote, “If you have fans who respect your talent enough to spend hard earned money to see your talent, be thankful and gracious and leave it at that.”
