DUSTIN LYNCH learned a lot about headlining when he opened for LUKE BRYAN earlier this year. And his biggest takeaway is . . . keep it simple, be yourself, and act goofy.
He says, quote, “[Luke] doesn’t give a crap about what he’s doing . . . he just shoots from the hip. There’s no rules. He’s so comfortable and such a goofball. I feel much more comfortable on stage after watching him so much.
“It’s kinda like, ‘I don’t have to take myself serious up there. This is great. What’s it matter?’ So that’s allowed me to become comfortable, move around a lot more and have a lot more interaction with the crowd.”
Dustin’s currently headlining his “Hell Of A Night” tour, but he’ll back to the opening slot along with LITTLE BIG TOWN on Luke’s “Kill the Lights” tour next year.
TheBoot.com also asked him if playing second fiddle again will be a letdown. He said, quote, “I’m getting to tour again with Luke Bryan. Come on. It doesn’t get any better than that. I can’t believe he invited me out again.”
